An item evaluated once under the task's input conditions: text, an image, an audio clip or a feature vector, against the model's labels.

    Mode
Synchronous on POST /v1/tasks; as a job on POST /v1/jobs for a large batch.

Request format

  • model (a catalog classifier) or deployment (your own); task: "classification"; inputs as the batch, each with type text, image or audio and text, inline data or an upload_id.
  • options as the task definition states them: labels for a zero-shot classifier, top_k, a threshold where the model is multi-label.
  • The whole batch runs on one worker; the maximum inputs per request is the model's hips.limits.max_inputs. An over-condition item is refused with a 400 (the alternative, counting it as several units, is open Not decided yet).

Usage unit

  • per_1000_classifications: one classification is one item evaluated once under the task's input conditions; a batch of forty items is forty.
  • usage.units counts the inputs and usage.billed_units the answered ones; an input the worker cannot read is not billed.

Result handling

  • One entry per input, in request order, with input the input's id: labels: [{label, score}] ordered by score, as the task definition's output states (softmax, sigmoid or logits; single-label or multi-label).
  • A per-input failure is an error entry in the envelope's shape beside the other inputs' results.

Prelaunch

Every number a task guide needs (limits, durations, dimension bands) is set per model in the catalog and is not written here. The SDK guide of the same task follows once the SDK's package names are decided Not decided yet.
